Artist Bio- Samantha Guzman is a multi-creative, born and raised in Harlem, New York. Her cultural background as an Afrocaribeña (of Dominican and Bajan descent) greatly influences her visual art, which seeks to showcase the hidden spectrum of the colorful Latinidad community. As an Afro-Latina, Samantha's experience has been complicated yet fantastical, and this complexity inspires her pieces. Through her art, Samantha is able to highlight the magic, beauty, and complexity of the Black and Latinx culture, providing a unique and inspiring perspective that is truly captivating.
