Women's empowerment has been defined through the lens of many perspectives. How have you defined women's empowerment? what does women's empowerment look like for you? What does women's empowerment mean in different settings and different cultures?

Saturday, October 29, 2022, we examined women's empowerment through a creative lens at the closing reception of The Culture Candy curation called PWR. PWR spoke all about women's empowerment through an exhibition that showcased the voices of a lady artist who addressed topics of women's identities, voices, health, and everyday choices of today's modern women.

Through the glass of The Ketchup Gallery, windows were pieces like "We Are" and "Daily Affirmations by Xzara Cimone or "Blue Moon" by Juliet James that were certainly brought in the curious New Yorkers who passed by. Joining in to take a closer look at the work of Priscilla Rachel's "Money Snake" and works by Venuz, Jacqueline's "The Performer", and Kates Roe's pieces created a vibe unmatched.

Live painting with Mr. Melon and prints sold by MC Hewlett added to the vibration that echoed through the city.

The Culture Candy works diligently to represent underrepresented artists of all types by creating opportunities to be seen and heard #fortheculture. Continue to support the living artist! For inquiries about artwork from the PWR group exhibition please send an email to info@theculturecandy.com
